Monolithic Columns – large, in the nave of Lanchester Church

Four monolithic columns on the north side of the nave of All Saints parish church, Lanchester. Said to have come from the colonnade of the headquarters building of Longovicium. They were probably removed from the fort when the aisles were constructed at the end of the twelfth century.
